This policy explains what information Purple Duckling Inc. (“Purple Duckling,” “we,” “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers our website, purpleduckling.com, and our Day2Day Calendar app. If you have questions, email us at info@purpleduckling.com.

Information that stays on your device

When you use Day2Day Calendar, you may add profiles, activity names, pictures, voice recordings, schedules, stars and rewards. This information is stored on your device. We do not collect it, and we cannot see it.

Device features the app can use

The app asks for your permission before it uses these features, and you can change your choice at any time in your device’s Settings:

• Camera and photo library, to add your own pictures to activities and profiles.
• Microphone, to record your own voice for an activity.

Spoken activities are read aloud by your device’s built-in voice.

Image search

The app includes an option to search the web for a picture. This opens Google Image Search inside the app. When you use it, your search goes to Google and is handled under Google’s Privacy Policy. We don’t receive your searches.

Purchases

You buy Day2Day Calendar through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles the payment, and we do not receive your payment details.

Our website

Information you give us

If you sign up for updates about Day2Day Independence, we collect your email address. We use it only to tell you about Day2Day Independence and our apps. Our email list is managed by MailerLite, which stores your email address and sends our emails for us. When you sign up, we send you an email asking you to confirm your address. Every email we send includes a link to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to remove your address at any time by emailing info@purpleduckling.com.

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message, and we use it to reply to you.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our site is delivered by a hosting provider that keeps standard technical logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visited. These logs help keep the site running and secure. Our site also loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google to download them.

Website analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use our website, for example how many people visit, which pages they read, and how many go on to the App Store. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as the pages you visit, your device and browser, and your approximate location. We use this information only in summary form to improve our website, and we do not use it to identify you. You can learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Our website does not use advertising cookies.

Service providers

We use a small number of companies to run the website, such as our website host; MailerLite, which manages our email list; and Google, which provides website analytics. They handle information only to provide their service to us.

How we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers described above, or if the law requires us to.

Children

Day2Day Calendar is often used by children with the help of a parent, caregiver or teacher. The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. Our website and email sign-up are intended for adults. If you believe a child has given us their email address, contact us and we will delete it.

How long we keep information

We keep your email address until you ask us to remove it or we no longer need it to tell you about our apps.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what information we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing info@purpleduckling.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor requests made under those laws.

Day2Day Independence

Day2Day Independence is still in development. Before it launches, we will update this policy to explain how that app handles information.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
